When Red Hen Recording Artist Danny Norman was a young boy he spent many hours playing music and singing in his father's nightclub. Until the age of 16 it was not uncommon for Danny to travel and sing in other local clubs. According to Danny Norman his life has always revolved around music.
In 1977 a tragedy turned his world upside down when his brother and his fiancé were both killed, removing a television antenna that made contact with an electrical line. At that time he found a new purpose for his life. One year after giving his life to Christ he was called into the ministry, something Danny has been doing now for over 30 years.
Two years ago Danny was planning to take his wife on a vacation, something they do every year. When he asked her the place that she'd like to visit, she didn't hesitate to answer that she wanted to go to Nashville, Tennessee; but not for a vacation, she wanted me to fulfill a lifelong dream of recording a gospel CD.
According to Danny "That's when it all began for me, I met with a producer at Daywind Studios, in Henderson TN. and began recording. I released two projects in 2010, and this newest album "The Promised Land" marks my third gospel project.
One of the songs that was released on Red Hen Records a song titled "No One Quite Like You" went to Number #1 on the Radio Active Airplay Charts on December 7th 2010. A subsequent radio release "Rescue Me" reached #2.
I'd like to say thanks to all the D J's for playing my Music and a great big thanks to all the fans out there that have requested my songs.
I'd like to give God praise, and thank Him for doing what He has done for me in my life, for my beautiful wife, my two sons, their wives, and my four grandchildren. Thank you Lord for all your blessing!"
