Warren Dale Brown was named after 2 Christian songwriters - Dale Oldham and Barney E. Warren. I guess it makes sense that he would become a Christian songwriter. Today he has written hundreds of songs.
As a teenager he picked up a guitar and taught himself to play a few chords - everything changed from there. He studied jazz guitar at Ball State University later. Many many years have seen him involved in country, rock & jazz plus many bands. He has been playing music professionally since 1968 but he became a living, saved Christian in 1972...today Christ and family dominate his life
Dale Brown has traveled a lifetime across the midwest singing the good news of Jesus Christ. He has seldom sought recognition for himself. The glory, he insists goes to Jesus.
He has had vocal lessons from Sandi Patty and has been mentored by southern gospel legend Danny Gaither. He was also the male lead vocalist for the short lived "Danny Gaither Singers" in 2000-2001. Danny Gaither was producing Dale's first solo CD - Faith and Strength - when Danny died of lymphoma cancer. Shaken, Dale dedicated the CD to Danny Gaither.
Dale seeks to fulfill the calling of Christ by singing in different churches and venues week after week. "He says, "we are not saved by works but God does call us to share His Good News"
Dale Brown has shared that Good News with some of the outstanding Christian talent in the world from Doug Oldham, the Toney Brothers & Danny Gaither to Three Bridges, Southern Raised, Woody Wright, Allen Family, Tribute Quartet, The Nelons, Talley Trio, Brown Family, Doug Anderson (Signature Sound Quartet) and Randy Stonehill.
He has presented Christ three times at GaitherFest...Always he insists all glory goes to Jesus Christ. He has shared Christ in arenas, prisons, big churches, very small churches & nursing homes. Wherever he feels Christ leading he will go.
Now as a member of Branson Gospel Singer Songwriter Assoc.(BGSSA) the doors have swung wide open. He has just been nominated for Best New Horizon Male Vocalist AND Best New Horizon Singer & Songwriter with BGSSA in Branson, Mo. for 2014. While he did not win those recognitions he did win BRANSONS MOST PROMISING NEW TALENT.
With musical interests from Southern Gospel to Praise & Worship a concert may feature Dale on acoustic guitar or using soundtracks. Maybe doing an original song or cover someone else's. Each concert is different. Each one unique. Some songs you may have heard, some well... maybe not. He has a smooth, rich tenor voice that can go from sweet to "bitter" in an instant. He will say, "I am a minister of God's word!"
Always listening, always watching!
Dale Brown has had his share of pain and heartache but says that it just kept him strong. He waits for Christ's return. Patiently... Expecting... Enduring
